Justin Bieber fever is reaching a pitch this month with his star turn on SNL, his toothsome (he says ‘crazy as heck‘) cover shot on PEOPLE and his record-breaking Tweets.  Not to mention his selection as the lead ‘It Boy’ of 2010 on our little blog.

Bieber rules– for the moment.  Can the New Media phenom– who broke out on YouTube and is the same age as his teenage fans– last longer than it takes to Tweet?  I love how he looks ‘almost exactly’ like the boy next door, but for his wayward hair and how he sings in the soulful boyish style of a young Michael Jackson.  Does Bieber’s music match his hair & hype?

Justin Bieber says in his recent interviews that ‘what I have is the chance of a lifetime’ and that when he feels overwhelmed, he just thinks “I’m Justin.”

If he reaches a point in his skyrocketing career when he needs a bigger boost than just being Justin, he might do well to study the moves of fellow phenom-with-major-hair (and fellow celeb.s-blog-fave) Adam Lambert.

Lambert was able to parlay an American Idol ‘loss’ into a cult-style success.  This week, he managed to land in the spotlight again by channeling Elvis and returning to Idol as a ‘mentor’ offering frank friendly commentary to the young ‘wanna-be’s.  Watch Adam belt out Time for Miracles.  Lambert listed his own favorite male performers (notably heavy on gender-bending) as: Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Lenny Kravitz and David Bowie.

As mentor on Elvis Night, Adam opined:

They all have great voices… I told them to wake up a little, have a little coffee… get their tongues out!

Would Lambert say the same to laid-back Bieber?  Do either of these sweetly singing coolly coiffed It Boys have what it takes for the long haul?

When Tiger tees up, will he feel all his mistresses are watching?

Welcome JUSTIN BIEBER fans; scroll down for Justin as It Boy/ CONGRATs PHIL MICKELSON

TIGER’S POST-MISTRESS MASTER’S (UPDATED)  by Elizabeth Searle

Breaking: Phil Mickelson has taken the Master’s Title this year– how much of a setback is this for Tiger?

On and off the course, Tiger faced a huge test this week.  Blog friend Caitlin sent in a link to a bizarre new Nike commercial dramatizing a contrite Tiger hearing his deceased father.  Caitlin felt it made her skin crawl and my skin’s with hers.  WDYT?

Meanwhile, Blog follower ‘wd’ had a positive early reaction to Tiger’s Press Conference, calling it a ‘magnificent’ disgraced-celeb. performance that seemed to him ‘sincere.’  I agree Tiger has much improved his apology ‘game’ and does seem more at ease and at the same time more truly sorry.  And on the course?

Golf is a psychological game and Tiger Woods (as we’ve all learned ) is a mere mortal.  So far, his fabled superhuman powers of concentration have slipped a bit this week at the Master’s tournament in the unwelcome and unflattering glare of the scandal spotlight.

And what of Tiger’s estranged wife Elin Woods?  Understandably, she is skipping the Master’s.  Unconfirmed rumors say she may be pregnant.  Will she eventually rejoin her ringside seat as the tournament season plays out?

Do you find yourself rooting for Tiger, the supreme athlete, to win out, or for Tiger the ‘Cheetah’ to pay the ultimate price and lose his mojo?  My money (not that it’s smart money, sports-wise) said that Tiger would make some screw-ups on the golf course this week, just as he’s done so spectacularly off the course lately, in the game of life.

Linda K. Sienkiewicz's QUEEN OF ROCK

With the world watching, I wondered if Tiger the golfer would regain his pre-Mistress Mastery.  At first, he was proving me wrong.  And now, with Mickelson’s victory?  Do you want Tiger to ultimately emerge victorious?  Or is his reign ending?

And in this Master’s Tournament week, be sure to visit the celeb-inspired Masterpieces like Queen of Rock (right) on display in our StarLit Gallery.  We welcome submissions to the StarLit Gallery and will be choosing some of our online art for an onscreen role in the forthcoming short film from Bravo Sierra, now set to shoot in late April: Celebrities in Disgrace

THANKS to RACHEL RESNICK for making LIBBY CUDMORE’s NO VALENTINES FOR GENERATION TWILIGHT Post #1 on TweetMeme: scroll down further for Libby’s ‘valentine’ to GenT and read Libby’s sweet-tart quote  here on Gen. T. It Boyz…

‘IT BOYS’ of 2010… by Elizabeth Searle

Who are the It Boys of Spring?  I polled a few of my favorite members of what blog fave. Libby Cudmore dubbed ‘Generation Twilight.’  For pre-teens, no one tops the boy/man of the hour, Justin Bieber.   A true New Media star who rose to cult status via videos his mom posted on YouTube, Bieber owns the 2010 Tweens.

Younger fans– & older ones like me– found our hearts beating faster when watching (twice, for me) STAR TREK, the movie.  Each time I saw it with my son & his friends, we all loved it; Mom especially loved Young Kirk and extra-especially Young Spock, aka It Boys Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto.

Fellow blogger Libby Cudmore had mixed feelings about today’s Boy stars:

I think most of the It Boys Shia Labeof and Zac Efron in particular) are too femmy, too coiffed and they dress like Deuce Bigalow. I never, ever trust a man who wears a fedora with jeans.  I don’t want their “edginess” or their masculinity to be a calculated thing . .  it has to just be, and I don’t think men like that really exist much anymore. Basically, I don’t want a guy who is going to borrow my skinny jeans.  Next
thing you know, he’s borrowing your eyeliner.

Thanks to Libby for your trademark sweet-tart view!  Libby nails Generation Twilight, as always– though there do appear to be plenty of girls out there who wouldn’t mind lending Shia or Zac their eyeliner.  Meanwhile, OK Magazine included several young stars in their Hottest Hunks, notably the dapper Taylor Lautner.  And of course OK ‘OK’s Gen. Twilight’s fave: creepy but sexy-in-tormented-way Robert Pattinson.

Which hot hunks of GenT. talent– with or without eyeliner, whatever floats your boat– do you see as possessing star quality, aka ‘It’?  & thanks again to LIBBY for her own brand of IT…

PS: Thanks to Jeremy for bringing up Joseph Gordon-Levitt & to Libby & Linda for pointing out that Jeff Goldblum is still hot…& to Jeff for nominating as IT MAN of 2010 RICKY MARTIN
