Tis the Season: a rocking good KICK-OFF PARTY celebrated the forthcoming short film CELEBRITIES IN DISGRACE at Iggy’s Rock N Roll Lounge in NYC. Shooting begins in the New Year; check out our film’s leads Patrice Bunch and Julian Brand partying with me (left) and with blog fave. Libby Cudmore ( below right).
Rising star Kristen Sergeant, who was the original ‘Tonya’ in my TONYA & NANCY: THE OPERA (below, left) along with Celeb.s director Matthew Quinn Martin & Bravo Sierra’s Mark McNutt (below, right) rocked the night away.
We’ll post more pic.s from the ongoing film project on the new Blog Page: the STARLIT GALLERY— where we welcome submissions of your own ‘celebrity-inspired art.’ Drawings, paintings, collages, photos involving or inspired by celeb.s. The works will be displayed online and some ‘onscreen’ as we search for ‘celeb. art’ to deck our film. Thanks to Bravo Sierra Motion Pictures for a fab. Kick-off!
Speaking of Kicks, check out CELEBRITY KUNG-FU DUELING. Pick your own celebrity ‘kick’ and Party On!
PS: Thanks to MARY for sending in Frank Rich on Tiger Woods— Rich argues that Tiger is Person of the Year; here on the Blog we are considering who will be Disgraced Celebrity of the Year. Feel free to submit, via Comments, your own vote!
Hello Elizabeth –
Your web layout skills (four imgs placed exactly as desired) are impressive.
I do this stuff for a living and it would be beyond me (without a work order).
Oops, trying not to reveal any identity-compromising facts. But great work.
Hey Litotes–
Your appreciation is much appreciated!
Yes, my skills have jumped from zero (in Aug)–
I get by With a Little Help from my Blog-expert Friend
LAWRENCE of Shameless web designs & the Bravo Sierra team…
when is the movie finished and where do we see it?
Good question, Livvy– thanks for asking! We aim to shoot in FEB. and hope to have the film ready to hit the festival circuit in summer– with a Preview & possibly more online– and with plans and a script for a Feature version too–
Anyway, that’s how I understand it but I am ‘just the writer’– so if Matthew or Mark might be lurking around the Blog and can give a better more complete answer to this excellent question, please do jump in!
For updates/more info, keep checking in here at the blog–
Stay Tuned–

hey “just the writer” esearle why aren’t you acting in the spotlight, not just lurking in the shadows? maybe as Nancy?
Thanks very much for this question, Deas–
Actually, ‘funny you should ask,’ because I may be playing a small role onscreen–
possibly as the ‘crazy mother’– So I will certainly keep everyone posted on that.
I told the director Matthew that if they consider using me, I’m happy to ‘audition’ and make sure I can handle a part. I did some acting in my twenties and would love to get my ’15 seconds’ on film here, but only if I can hold my own up there onscreen– So I’ll keep the blog informed on that ‘compelling question’ and I do appreciate you asking!
Cheers–
Elizabeth
Congrats, Elizabeth!
Looking forward to following the progress of your film, and possibly detecting a familiar face, ala Hitchcock, in the finished version.
Thanks so much, Papagena! Yes, definitely, I’d love a Hitchcock-sized appearance somewhere in the mix. Will keep everyone posted on that as our saga unfolds–

RICH IS RIGHT. TIGER W. FOR DISGRACE CELEBRITY OF YEAR
OK, I will tally that as the first vote for
Disgraced Celebrity of the Year–
from Jeff S. plus Frank Rich
I followed Julian’s link to his website. From Tommy in the Music Man to CELEBRITIES IN DISGRACE. What a journey–his resume looks great.
Here’s what I’m looking for on this website:
A clip of Tommy JUGGLING! Now that I know he has sung “Gary Indiana” I know he won’t get embarrassed easily!
What a handsome guy!
Great to know Julian can juggle– and can sing GARY INDIANA to boot. We will have to get him to do that at the next party.
And yes, he’s got a wonderful resume and ‘look’ for this role.
Always good to hear from a fellow Theater Fan-atic.
Thanks, Penny 2– and I will ask Julian if he has any clips of himself as ‘Tommy’–
Elizabeth
Got to be Tiger this year as the biggest downfall and disgrace of 2009
OK, we’ll tally up vote # 2 for Tiger–
‘biggest downfall’ is a good way to put it–
he surely didn’t do the worst deeds, but he did
have the furthest to fall; it’s a long way down from
that pedestal peak…
